My name is Chloe, and I am a News Reporter for The Island Packet, a local newspaper out of Hilton Head, South Carolina. I cover local government, real estate and tourism, crime and public safety, breaking news and human-interest stories. I also follow the occasional hurricane that sweeps across the South Carolina Lowcountry. 

In May 2024, I graduated from the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism. I was honored to finish as my class' valedictorian and to receive a Pulitzer Traveling Fellowship. 

In 2022, I graduated from Davidson College, a liberal arts college in North Carolina, where I studied English and played varsity field hockey. I spent an entire semester writing about a "cancer cluster" that affected families in my community. 

I am a lover of black cats, Joan Didion and yoga, not necessarily in that order.
